KPI of how efficient the goalkeeper’s performance is, based on the difficulty of the shots on the goal.

The basic principle is the same as for the Expected Goals. Only here the Expected Saves are calculated and compared with the actual saves. Accordingly, shots missing the goal are not taken into account and information after the shot, such as the shooting speed or the point in the goal at which the ball goes to, can be taken into account.

The higher the percentage, the better. If the percentage is greater than zero, the goalkeeper’s performance was above average.

Is more accurate and fairer than the normal save rate or the net save percentage due to the consideration of the difficulty of the save.
